Officina sociale invita tutti alla conferenza “Attraverso i loro occhi - esperienze di associazionismo femminile in Medio oriente e nord Africa”,
giovedì 9 dicembre alle 19 presso l’Aula Magna IUAV Tolentini.

Sarà un incontro incentrato su alcune testimonianze, il più possibile dirette, di associazionismo e movimenti femminili attivi nell’area medio orientale e nord africana che si occupano di educazione, aiuti umanitari, assistenza e aiuto a donne in difficoltà. Pensiamo che questo approfondimento sia utile per dare spazio ad un “altro Medio oriente”, quello delle lotte per i diritti civili o per i diritti delle donne.

La serata inizierà con una breve presentazione dell’incontro da parte di un componente di officina sociale, seguirà l’introduzione della moderatrice Lucia Sorbera (Università Ca’ Foscari). Quindi ci saranno gli interventi di Rubah Saleh sul gruppo palestinese AOWA (Association of women’s action for training and rehabilitation), di Cristina Cattafesta sul gruppo RAWA (Revolutionary Association of Women of Afghanistan) e della giornalista Souad Sbai, che parlerà dell’associazionismo femminile in Marocco. A conclusione dell’incontro ci sarà un momento ricreativo con buffet di cucina palestinese e un piccolo concerto di musica araba
