Tra la fine del 2023 e il 2024 sono stati avviati i primi cantieri. A partire dall'ottobre 2025 le operazioni sono entrate nella fase di scavo e movimentazione dei terreni contaminati riaccendendo le preoccupazioni dei cittadini residenti per la possibile dispersione di polveri inquinanti.
