L'Italia nel 1915 scelse la guerra quando avrebbe potuto scegliere la pace, e la scelse consapevolmente, violando il diritto internazionale con motivazioni simili a quelle che oggi condanniamo in altri conflitti.
La relatrice ONU vede riconosciuta la libertà di parola da un tribunale USA, ma paga ancora il prezzo delle ritorsioni di Trump. L’Europa è chiamata a scegliere da che parte stare.
La guerra è stata presentata all'opinione pubblica come una "missione di pace" e buona parte della sinistra italiana l'ha anche sostenuta con convinzione. Eppure circolavano foto eloquenti di corpi carbonizzati, teste fracassate, soldati occidentali che posavano sorridenti accanto a cadaveri.
