'The Seeds Beneath the Snow' is a non-profit association founded in the spring of 2006. It is based in Pisa, Italy.
The seeds are the themes it aims to deal with: nonviolence, peace, human rights and the environment. A tri-lingual (Japanese-Italian-English) library has been set up, as well as this website.
Abbiamo potuto seguire di persona La Musica contro il Silenzio a Varese e a Brescia e abbiamo conosciuto gli organizzatori. Così abbiamo proposto loro un’intervista per raccontare meglio questa splendida iniziativa contro l’apartheid e il genocidio in Palestina. Ne è nata un’intervista a più voci.
Riusciranno i posteri a decifrare quanto della nostra civiltà abbiamo scritto - digitato - archiviato nei tanti "formati" di bit, via via sempre diversi e incompatibili?
È il dipendente perfetto per un Paese che investe più in armi che in stipendi. Basta abituarsi al ronzio, che poi anche tanti colleghi umani mica sono poco rumorosi. Non chiede aumenti, non ha figli da mantenere, non si lamenta. Ed è sempre puntuale, non discute e agisce con precisione.
