Cambiamenti del clima e conflitti globali" è il titolo della prossima conferenza promossa dal "Centro studi e ricerche per la pace" dell'Università di Trieste. L'incontro, che avrà come relatore Luca Mercalli, si svolgerà il 21 gennaio dalle ore 20.45 presso la Circoscrizione Locale dei Soci di Banca Popolare Etica Via G. Donizetti 5/A, Trieste

Luca Mercalli, climatologo, presiede la Società meteorologica italiana e dirige la rivista Nimbus (www.nimbus.it). Vent’anni di ricerca sul clima e i ghiacciai delle Alpi occidentali, un territorio che ha imparato a conoscere e studiare proprio negli aspri valloni del Gran Paradiso. Ha curato circa 80 pubblicazioni scientifiche, 600 articoli divulgativi su quotidiani e riviste, incarichi di docenza all’Università e al Politecnico di Torino, 370 conferenze e centinaia di interventi televisivi.
