The Pentagon’s long hand behind events in Ukraine?
Today, an impressive march for peace, starting in Times Square and ending with a packed rally at the nearby People’s Forum, called for ending NATO intervention in Ukraine as the key to stopping hostilities there. The slogan for the event says it all:

Fix your sights on the future, and please consider a conversion from a “nuclear umbrella” to a “non-nuclear umbrella”.

In a memorable ceremony on October 25, 2013, a delegation of Japanese citizens made an emotional apology to the citizens of Nanjing, China for the massacre by the Japanese Imperial Army of 300,000 Chinese in the city of Nanjing in a six week period in 1937 during the Second Sino-Japanese War and the rape of thousands of women before they were put to death.

We greet the morning of the 68th return of “that day.” At 8:15 a.m., August 6, 1945, a single atomic bomb erased an entire family. “The baby boy was safely born. Just as the family was celebrating, the atomic bomb exploded. Showing no mercy, it took all that joy and hope along with the new life.”
'The Seeds Beneath the Snow' is a non-profit association founded in the spring of 2006. It is based in Pisa, Italy.
The seeds are the themes it aims to deal with: nonviolence, peace, human rights and the environment. A tri-lingual (Japanese-Italian-English) library has been set up, as well as this website.
Le somme raccolte ad oggi per sostenere il ricorso hanno raggiunto complessivamente i 31.840 euro. Le spese fino ad ora affrontate ammontano a 650 euro per il contributo di iscrizione al TAR di Lecce. In ragione di questa uscita, il totale ad oggi custodito è di 31.190 euro.
PeaceLink aveva già espresso un parere negativo alla Nona Commissione del Senato che aveva chiesto un intervento in merito al testo in esame. La discussione è poi passata alla Camera dei Deputati che ha approvato il trasferimento di 92 milioni e il prestito ponte da 149 milioni.
Circa 50 fisici quantistici di tutto il mondo si sono uniti per denunciare la militarizzazione nella ricerca e nelle Università, rifiutando di essere strumentalizzati a fini bellici ed impegnandosi a monitorare la situazione.
La Commissione Difesa della Camera sta votando ben sette atti del Governo per un ammodernamento delle forze armate italiane nell'ambito del programma di riarmo e di aumento delle spese militari.
